Finagle's law

Finagle's Law (complete Finagle 's Law of Dynamic Negatives ) was introduced by John W. Campbell Jr., as editor of Astounding Science Fiction decades varied it in his editorials over again. Larry Niven took advantage of Finagle's Law as a running gag in many novels about the Belter, a community of miners in the asteroid belt.
