Finca

A finca [ finca ] (Spanish, "Property") refers to agricultural land, usually with a cotta, country house, farm or estate, often with a connected plantation. Especially in tourism, the term is now often used in everyday German for a rural holiday house, situated on the Spanish mainland, the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands. The villas look usually has a long history and are often older than 300 years. In some areas (especially in the Balearic Islands ) arise, however, even today new buildings that are oriented with respect to their architectural style of historic farms.

Mostly they have a swimming pool, saunas and other spa facilities. The rooms often do not have the original walls, but it will ensure a high standard hotel in general.

The holiday on a farm is not to be confused with the local holiday on the farm.
