Fingerpick

A finger pick is a special type of the plectrum and is often used when playing bluegrass banjo music, for resonator guitars and the pedal steel guitar. Finger picks are usually made of metal or plastic.

Unlike the pick, which is held between a finger and thumb, finger pick is attached to the fingertips. Another difference is that, not only a finger pick is used. Mostly three finger picks are put on the middle finger, index finger and thumb. So can be played simultaneously with one hand only several strings.

Finger picks are made in various strengths to meet the different game types in a fair. Thin fingers picks produce a quieter, more delicate sound while thicker finger picks create a thicker sound.
