Finland-Sweden athletics international

Finn Kampen ( swedish, in the Swedish-speaking part of Finland also Sverigekampen; Finnish Ruotsi - ottelu ) is a track and countries struggle which is held annually between Sweden and Finland. Because of the athletic rivalry between the two nations Finn Kampen has claimed the major international events for both the largest value among the track and field events.

The competition will be run with a men's and a women's standings. In any discipline ( with the exception of the relay race ) occur three competitors in each country.

The first Finn Kampen took place in 1925 and was contested exclusively by male athletes. Since 1945, the competition is a regular, annual event, since 1953, there is also a women's standings.

Originally the competition was held alternately in the two capitals Helsinki and Stockholm; Since 1999 is the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, the Swedish venue.
