Finlandia-hiihto

Finlandia Hiihto is the largest ski marathon in Finland. The run is part of the series of Worldloppet runs. The race will be held in late February each year. Starting point and destination is Lahti. At the race weekend the races over 50km and 32km are performed in classical style on Saturday. On Sunday the races are held in free technique 50 km and 20 km.

The race has been held since 1974. The track originally had a length of 75 miles and then led from Hämeenlinna to Lahti. On the first run was attended by more than a thousand skiers. Length of the route and route guidance has been amended several times in the following years.
