Finnish Olympic Committee

The Suomen Olympiakomitea ( SOK, swedish Finlands Olympiska man committee ) is the National Olympic Committee of Finland and responsible for the representation and advocacy of the country to the IOC. The Committee is a non-profit organization. His responsibilities include, inter alia, the application of funds that enable the dispatching of Finnish athletes to the Olympics.

The Committee was established on 2 December 1907 in Helsinki and accepted in the same year, at the ninth IOC Session in The Hague in the Netherlands as a member of the IOC. Became the first president Reinhold Felix von Willebrand, who held the office from 1907 to 1919. Since 2004, Roger Talermo president of the committee. Secretary General is Jouko Purontakanen.
