The Finnish Red Cross ( Suomen Punainen Risti - Finlands Röda Kors ( SPR / FRK )) is the National Red Cross Society in Finland under the Geneva Conventions and, as such, part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, headquartered in Helsinki. The organization was founded on May 7, 1877. It is recognized and protected by the Finnish government has decided once again most recently in 2000, the status of the SPR / CRC.
