Fire Bomber

Fire Bomber is the name of a fictional rock band from the Macross series and movie universe, which the title character from the series Macross 7 held complex, which consists of a television series, an original video animation and movies. Under the band name a number of albums and singles for the Japanese market was published plate.

Biography

As a real line-up behind the fictional characters was the Japanese rock band Humming Bird and the seiyū of the characters Mylene Flare Jenius and Nekki Basara, Tomo Sakurai and Nobutoshi Hayashi. Even if the group Humming Bird is behind the shooting, the media have been published with respect to the episodes and movies Macross 7 completely under the fictitious band name.

Under the band Fire Bomber named eleven music albums, a best-of album and five CD singles were released:

Reception

The band played under the name Fire Bomber at least one concert in which also the seiyū were present mainly recorded for the soundtrack of the dialogues without vocals, but occasionally also were doing some of the vocal work within their roles. Here, a concert recording was pressed on CD and as an album Live Fire! published.

In another event on the 25th anniversary of the first TV series Macross Chōjiku Yosai the band appeared on August 18, again in 2007 at a concert in the Grand Hall at Nippon Seinenkan, which was announced under the name Minmay meets Fire Bomber.

The fictional band is also listed in the credits as performer, as her song Totsugeki Love Heart (Japanese突撃 ラブ ハート) can be heard in the second episode of the television series to Macross 7 Macross Frontier succeeding in the background. In the 17th episode the songs My Soul For You and Try again be played stating the band's name.
