Firebug (software)
Firebug is an extension for the Mozilla Firefox Web browser. It allows troubleshooting, monitoring and in-place editing of Web pages. Examine can be especially CSS, HTML elements, the Document Object Model and JavaScript events a website. The network traffic shows for all elements of a web page the exact timing of the request and the required charging time on a time bar. Firebug also has a JavaScript console, which also logs Ajax actions. In addition to the troubleshooting websites Firebug for safety testing and performance analysis for the Web is being used.
Firebug is a free, open source software, licensed under the BSD license. Firebug was written by Joe Hewitt. The plugin has over 55 million downloads on (January 2013).

Firebug itself can load extensions (a kind of extension in an extension ), which extend the capabilities for the analysis and diagnosis of websites. So is an extension, for example, the output of PHP debugging, another lists performance weaknesses.
