Firewater (band)

Firewater is an American indie rock band that was formed in 1995 by vocalist and bassist A. death ( death of Ashley ), after whose previous band Cop Shoot Cop had dissolved.

Firewater experimented with different musical influences, including, but mainly folk, jazz, ska, klezmer, cabaret and " gypsy music". The original composition of the band consisted of Duane Denison ( the Jesus Lizard ), Yuval Gabay ( Soul Coughing ), Jennifer Charles ( Elysian Fields ) and Hahn Rowe ( fetus ). After some time, it turned out that it was not possible with this " line-up " to go on tour. Therefore death A. recruited other musicians for the first tour of the band. In the course of the band 's history the only constant death A. Firewater while the other positions of the band remains are always busy with new musicians as a singer / composer ( singer-songwriter ) and bassist.

With their third album Psychopharmacology ( single release Get out of my head ) spoke Firewater first time to a wider audience in North America and Europe and have since also in Europe now and then on tour.
