First Book

First Book is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, the age-appropriate books taught to children from financially disadvantaged families.

History

First Book was founded in 1992 by Peter Gold, Elizabeth Arky and the current President Kyle rooms. In collaboration with existing programs like " Head Start centers", libraries, and " afterschool Initiativen " First Book could now distribute 65 million books to children.
