Firuzkuh is an Iranian city and a district in the north-east of Tehran. It is located at the foot of the Alborz mountains above 1900 meters above sea level. According to the latest census, the city had 39,784 inhabitants in 2006.

In Firuzkuh the Hable - Rūd, one of the major rivers of the Alborz Mountains, which flows into the Dasht -e Kavir, an endorheic basin low flows.

The industry in the city is specialized in the manufacture of glass and cement.

Firuzkuh one of the few cities of Iran, are bred in fish farms. This is possible because of the rich water resources and the cool temperatures.

The city is home to two universities: the University of Azad and Payam -e Nūr University.
