FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2015
The 43rd Alpine Ski World to be held from 2nd to February 15, 2015 in Vail / Beaver Creek. After seven championships in a row in Europe, the World Championships will again be held overseas for the first time since 1999. Vail was also in 1989 and 1999 the venue.
In addition to the two resorts in Colorado and St. Moritz ( Switzerland ) and Cortina d' Ampezzo were available. All three places had already applied for the world championship in 2013, but were the candidacy of Schladming inferior. At the FIS Congress on June 3, 2010 in Antalya ( Turkey), the U.S. application sat in the first ballot with eight out of 15 possible votes by. Four votes were cast in Cortina d' Ampezzo, three to St. Moritz.
