FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013

The 49th Nordic World Ski Championships took place from February 20 to March 3, 2013 in the Italian region of Val di Fiemme instead. Thus, the Val di Fiemme was after 1991 and 2003 for the third time host the Nordic World Ski Championships.

Choice of venue

To host the World Cup di Fiemme and the cities Falun, Zakopane, Lahti and Oberstdorf competed with the Val only places that were organizers of Nordic World Ski Championships in the past. In the election on 29 May 2008, finally Val di Fiemme stood out against the competition in the third ballot.

Twelve teams took part in the team competition, one of which reached the top eight second competitive round.
