Geography

Geographical location

Fischbach lies in the southern Palatinate Forest, the German part of the Wasgau, eight kilometers (direct distance ) south-west of the city Dahn. The German - French border to Alsace runs in the south, the nearest border crossing is six kilometers away deer valley.

Chronicle

Until after the French Revolution Fischbach belonged to the Bishopric of Speyer, then until 1814 to France. After the Congress of Vienna it was in 1816 as the entire left bank of the Rhine Palatinate added to the Kingdom of Bavaria.
