Fischmob

Fischerspooner was a Hamburg hip- hop band of the 1990s, which attained cult status through their innovative sound and suddenly became popular with the success of Single Chopper.

Band History

In 1993, Sven Mikolajewicz, Daniel Sommer, Rafael Stachowiak and Stefan Kozalla a band that emerged from a native of Hamburg and Flensburg groups TBC Attack and Daily Opressors. 1994 divides the project, then still trading under the name TBC Attack Fischerspooner, from the first part of the name and called himself only Fischmob.

In 1994 the first single Hey, all. Chopper was followed in the same year. In 1995 the debut album was released men can not show his emotions. The album contains songs of social criticism ( You call me Penner, 4'55 ) and serious songs, as well as some fun songs ( Hash un rock and jazz music and alcohol) and electronic experiments. The album is one of the early highlights of the Hamburg hip- hop scene. Cosmic DJ and DJ Koze is then involved in the single Nordic By Nature by Fettes Brot that made this group famous overnight. Fischmob toured a little later as the opening act of the doctors by Germany. Several Maxis and Singles show the preference of Sven Francisco and DJ Koze, both with Mikolajewicz and Adolf Noise each came on beyond their own solo project.

Power, the second album of the band was much catchier than the debut album. It was released in 1998. On the first song were, inter alia, the hip at this time MCs Dendemann to hear the Stieber Twins, Smudo and Michael Beck of The Fantastic Four. The track Susanne to Freedom was released as a single, was on the charts but only reached No. 72 The album reached without significant airplay on MTV or Viva place 29

The group broke up, as Sven Francisco announced exit. With ambient -oriented solo projects he did, the way Lotte ohm. collaborated ( Behind these walls ) under his family name Mikolajewicz and Stachy as Hofuku Sochi on while Koze and Cosmic with the Münster entertainer Erobique the band International Pony founded. Koze regularly works as a DJ and published under his own name or as Adolf Noise plates.
