Fisher-Price

Fisher-Price is an American manufacturer of baby and toddler toys and is since 1993 a subsidiary of Mattel headquarters in East Aurora, New York.

History

Fisher-Price was founded in 1930 by Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle.

Dr. Doodle, a pull along, 1931 was the first toy out and is still available. In the 1960 production of Little People toys began. Herman Fisher retired in 1969 at the age of 71 back, and Fisher-Price has been adopted in the same year by the Quaker Oats Company.

1991 Fisher-Price won back the independence of the Quaker Oats Company and became a public limited company. In November 1993, Fisher-Price subsidiary of Mattel. 1997 Mattel decided to market all preschool products as Fisher-Price.

Products

Fisher-Price designed since the early 1930s over 5,000 different toys. The most famous include Power Wheels, View-Master, Rescue Heroes, Little People, the Chatter and the color ring pyramids. In addition, in Manhattan, among other things Disney, Sesame Street, Barney, Winnie -the-Pooh and Dora characters are developed and marketed as Fisher-Price Friends.
