Fishguard

Fishguard ( Welsh: Abergwaun ) is a coastal city in the north of the county of Pembrokeshire in Wales. The twin town of Fishguard is since 1995 the French coastal resort of Benodet in Brittany.

History

The last invasion of Britain took place in Fishguard. On February 22, 1797 landed four French warships in Fishguard with 1400 soldiers.
