Fiume Veneto

Fiume Veneto is a municipality in northeast Italy in the Friuli- Venezia Giulia and there in the province of Pordenone. It lies about 90 km northwest of Trieste and about seven kilometers southeast of Pordenone. Fiume Veneto has 11,625 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) on an area of 35.8 km ².

The municipality covers not only the main town of Fiume Veneto four other villages and hamlets ( Frazioni ): Bannia, Cimpello, Pescincanna and Praturlone. The neighboring municipalities are Azzano Decimo, Casarsa della Delizia, Chion, Pordenone, San Vito al Tagliamento and Zoppola.

The event Fiumettopoli in Fiume Veneto since 2000 has been one of the most important events for national comic book creators.
