FIVB World Rankings
The volleyball world ranking is a ranking of the national teams of men and women. The members of the World Federation FIVB obtained according to their results in international competitions points.
Rating
The number of points awarded depends on the importance of competition. More important contests and younger results are weighted to represent the actual performance of a team.
According to the decision of the Board of Administration of the FIVB points as follows are distributed.
- The results at the Olympic Games are considered for four years and reduced each year by 25%. The Olympic winner receives 100 points, the next highest scoring teams 90, 80 and 70 points. For number five to eight, there are 50 points each, for ninth place and ten points for each 30 square eleven and twelve 20 points each.
- The results of the World Cup will also be considered for four years with an annual reduction of 25 %. The top four teams will receive 100 to 70 points, to place five to twelve, there are 62, 56, 50, 45, 40, 36, 33 and 30 points. The following teams will receive 25 (ranked 13 to 16 in women; Place 13 to 18 for men) and 20 points (ranked 17 to 24 in women; Place 19 to 24 for men).
- At the World Cup, the results are considered for four years and reduced by 25 % in the second year. The top four teams will receive 100 to 70 points for the fifth to eighth place, there are 50, 40, 30 and 25 points for the teams ranked nine to twelve, there are five points.
- The results of continental championships, for example, a European Championship will be considered for two years and reduced by 50 % in the second year. A uniform scoring there is not this.
- The results of the World League and World Grand Prix to be considered for a year. The top eight teams will receive 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25, 15 and 12 points. - Points are awarded for the best non - qualified teams, namely three for the best, two for the second best and one each for the next four teams.
