Five Men of the Pear Chamber
The Nashitsubo no gonin (Japanese梨壺の五人German as: " Five ( members) of pears chamber " ) is five poets ( Kasen ) and scholars of the Heian period, which in a specially equipped Schreibstube imperial palace the poem anthology Gosen Wakashū (951) compiled. In addition, they created the read index for the Man'yōshū.
The five Yoryūdo (寄 人, also Yorihito ) were:
- Ōnakatomi no Yoshinobu (大中 臣 能 宣, ( 921-991 )
- Minamoto no Shitagō (源 顺, 911-983 )
- Kiyohara no Motosuke (清 原 元 辅, 908-990 )
- Sakanoue no Mochiki (坂 上 望 城, dates unknown )
- Ki no Tokibumi (纪时文, 922-996 )
