Five Star
Five Star (also known as 5 Star ) were a British pop / R & B group from Romford, Greater London. It was founded in 1983 and consisted of the brothers and sisters Stedman, Lorraine, Denise, Doris and Delroy Pearson together. The group was known for her glamorous image, striking, matching costumes and difficult choreography and achieved a number of top 40 finishes in both the singles as well as albums in Britain between 1985 and 1988.
Biography
The group of five children from the city of Romford in Essex was from her father, Buster Pearson ( born in Jamaica and former musician of Wilson Pickett ) founded, which occurred just as her manager. 2001 reached the 31 official single release, Funktafied, number 99 in the U.S. R & B charts and stayed 10 weeks in the R & B / Hip-Hop charts with number 26 as the highest placement. Five Star returned to the UK in 2002 as a trio, consisting of Stedman, Denise and Lorraine, back to perform on various tours, including the Here And Now Tour 2002. 2005 System Addict was re-released. A planned remake of The Slightest Touch in the same year was again discarded. Plans for a reunion of all five members for a comeback and the publication of new material were discussed in 2006/2007. Part of these plans were a lucrative contract, a nationwide tour and a television documentary. However, the negotiations came to a standstill. After an appearance in the holiday resort Butlins in October 2006, for which all five members were paid, but only three impersonators appeared in the night, Lorraine gave her farewell of the group known as Stedman, Denise and Doris worked on solo careers.
In March 2007, the record company Sony BMG the band brought out a brand new compilation of all their best-known music videos called Five Star performance on DVD, which reached number 25 in the DVD music charts.
