FK Bežanija

The FK Bežanija is a Serbian football club from the Belgrade district of New Belgrade.

History

The club was founded in 1921 by the name of SOKO and later to BSK ( Bežanijski sports skiing club ) changed. The club played at the time only friendly matches. 1946, the club was renamed Jedinstvo Belgrade. It was played in the regional league and Sremska from 1952 in the Belgrade city league. Prior to the 1955/56 season, the club changed its name back to Bežanija which still exists today. From the 1965/66 season to 1988/ 89, the club played in the first and second City League of Belgrade, where he won the 1989 title. The club played in the 2007/ 08 season in the first division of Serbia, Superliga. The stadium of Bežanija has room for about 10,000 spectators. The plan is an expansion to 4,000 seats.
