FK Javor Ivanjica

Javor Ivanjica (full official name in Serbian: Фудбалски клуб Јавор Ивањица, Fudbalski klub Javor Ivanjica ) known as Javor, is a Serbian football club from Ivanjica, who plays in the Super League, the top division of the country. The club is named after the Javor mountains, located in Central Serbia next Ivanjica. The word itself means Javor in Serbian maple.

History

The club was founded in 1912 by Serbian students and one of the oldest football clubs in Serbia. The first big success was achieved 1958-1962, as Javor played for the first time in the second Yugoslav league. Another great success in the club's history happened during the 2001/ 02 season, when the rise was achieved in the first division. After Javor Ivanjica was staying back in the 2004/05 season, the club in the season 2007/ 08 master of Prva Liga, the second Serbian League was, and rose to the Super League, the highest league in the country.
