FK Makedonija Gjorče Petrov

Fudbalski Klub Makedonija Đorče Petrov ( in Cyrillic script: .. Ф К Македонија Ѓорче Петров ) is a Macedonian football club from the capital Skopje.

History

The club was founded in 1932 under the name Hask as an amateur club, making it one of the oldest clubs in the country. Later he initially called into Rudar and again later in Industrijalec. Under the name Yugokokta the club took off in 1970 on professional football operation in Yugoslavia in part. For the 1989/90 season, the club named after Đorče Petrov ( 1864-1921 ), a leading representative of the IMRO, and thus received its present name.

To Yugoslav times, the club played in the lowest leagues biggest success in 1990 was the rise in the third league. After the independence of Macedonia Makedonija was one of the founding members of the newly created Prva League and escaped in the first season barely escape relegation, as they had a point clear of the relegation FK Metalurg Skopje.
