FK Modriča

The Fudbalski Klub Modriča Maxima is a Bosnian - Herzegovinian football club from Modriča, Republika Srpska. The club currently playing in the second division, the Prva Liga RS.

General

The team plays in the stadium Dr Milan Jelic (formerly Maxima Stadium ), which offers 4,000 spectators. The main sponsor is the resident Modriča oil group maxima.

History

The club was founded in 1922. 2003, the team was relegated for the first time on the highest Bosnian - Herzegovinian league.

The biggest success of the club were winning the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Cup in 2004 and winning the championship in 2008. During the season 2004/05 FK Modriča achieved UEFA Cup qualification. In the 2007 /08 season Modriča was for the first time in the club's history of Bosnia and Herzegovina champion. The championship was not decided until the last game here after a long time was on par with NK Čelik Zenica.
