FK Tomori Berat

Tomori Berat futboll Club is an Albanian football club from the city of Berat. The club is currently playing in the second highest Albanian League, the Kategoria e Pare.

The club is one of the oldest clubs in the country and took early as the second staging of the championship in 1931 in part. The greatest success was probably the second place in the Albanian Cup 1999/2000.

Tomori Berat plays in Tomori Stadium, which offers 14,500 spectators and is the third largest stadium in Albania is.

History

The club was founded in 1923 under the name of KS Tomori, named after the local mountain Tomorr consultant. From 1931, when the club unsuccessfully participated in the Albanian football championship for the first time and very, to 1935, he was called KS Muzaka. As a result, there was a return to the old name, but changed in 1950 to KS Berat and from 1951 to 1957, like many other football clubs to Puna Berat (working Berat ).

In the 1937 season Tomori was playing in the top league and was also at the resumption of gaming operations in the championship in the 1945 season it again. For the 1962/63 season the league was again expanded to twelve teams, Tomori was in 1963 as a tenth, 1964, eighth, ninth in 1965, tenth in 1966 and 1967 as the seventh conclude several championships with some success. 1964 was Tomori also in the final of the Albanian Football Cup, but lost 3-0 against Partizani Tirana. The success was short-lived: the 2000/01 season the club finished in twelfth place and escaped just under the descent that followed the 14th and final standings in the 2001/ 02 season. Then Tomori plays long in the subprime Kategoria e Pare, in the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/10 even Dyte only in the third highest league Kategoria e. 2010 succeeded as runners- promotion to the second division, where Tomori same took second place and thus was able to rise after only one year in the highest league.
