This flag was brought by a person living in San Francisco group Anguillaner and hoisted for the first time in the destruction of the old flag. However, it was not really accepted and soon replaced by the flag of the "Three Dolphins ", which immediately became generally accepted and is still used by the islanders, although it is not official.

The flag has a white background, which stands for peace and tranquility, with a turquoise strip at the bottom, symbolizing both the surrounding sea and also faith, youth and hope.

The Three Dolphins flag was used for many years, but it was felt that Anguilla own, official flag need. Brian Canty, former Governor of Anguilla, suggested a new flag and drew some sketches that were sent for approval by Queen Elizabeth II in London.

The new, first time on 30 May 1990 hoisted flag shows on a blue background a Union Jack in the upper left corner and on the right a sign in which on a white background with turquoise base three orange dolphins can be seen. Thus, the design combines the membership of the United Kingdom and the Three Dolphins flag of Anguilla.
