Flag of Ascension Island

The flag of Ascension is based, like the flags of most British Overseas Territories on the Blue Ensign. It was approved on 27 March 2013 Queen Elizabeth II and on May 11, 2013, the Ascension Day ( Ascension), first hoisted. It is blue, resulting in the fly the emblem of Ascension and the Union Jack in the naval jack.

Authorized by the Queen 2 August 2012 coat of arms shows symbols of the island by a blue sign, in three silver (white ) wave beams topped with a green chevron and three silver ( white ) Wideawake Birds. As a crest a three-masted silver (white ) Sailboat on blue - silver ( white ) Waves ( Helmwulst ) was chosen against a green mountain over a helmet; front and rear of the helmet with green, curved and serrated tapes is ( helmet cover ) decorated. And for supporters two green sea turtles serve on silver ( white ) with green branches besteckten hills.
