Flag of Costa Rica

Description and significance

History

The first national flag of Costa Rica first appeared in September 1821 and had two blue stripes, which should represent the two oceans. Use

By law, citizens are allowed to decorate their private houses only on holidays with pennants in the national colors. Nevertheless, the national flag without their coat of arms, which is officially only the merchant flag, used by virtually anyone, anywhere.
