Flag of Queensland

The flag of Queensland is a variant of the British Blue Ensign with the state badge on a white disc in the fly. On the badge an imperial crown is ready, lined with a light blue Maltese Cross. The flag was designed by William Hemmant, the Colonial Secretary and Treasurer of Queensland and introduced on 29 November 1876. Since then made ​​some detail changes.

Earlier flags

Queensland had in 1870 introduced its first flag. It was a Blue Ensign with a blue disc in the fly, on the profile portrait of Queen Victoria was displayed.
