Flag of Saxony-Anhalt

The state of Saxony -Anhalt has several flags, a flag and a national coat of arms, with the use of the service flag is subject to restrictions.

History

The Province of Saxony -Anhalt in 1947 adopted a constitution, which, in Article 3, paragraph 1, the flag of the country has been defined as black and yellow Bikolore - similar to the flag of Baden-Württemberg, which was established in 1953 in the Constitution. 1952, the country was disbanded as part of the administrative reform in the GDR de facto. The State service flag

The country's official flag is described by the emblem Act of June 2, 1998. Section 2, paragraph 2, states:

The use of the State service flag is reserved exclusively to authorized agencies. The unauthorized use of State service flag is an administrative offense (paragraph 124 in the Code of Administrative Offences of 24 May 1968).

Flagging adoption

The flagging of public buildings in Saxony -Anhalt is governed by the rule of flag of buildings by 12 December 2007. Accordingly, the flagging days depend on the relevant federal decree, but a daily flagging pursuant to that provision is possible.
