Flag of Swaziland

The flag of Swaziland was officially launched on 30 October 1967.

Description and significance

The width of the strip is in proportion 3:1:8:1:3. The colors are the following meaning:

  • Red stands for the battles in the past.
  • Yellow symbolizes the natural wealth of mineral resources.
  • Blue stands for peace.

The sign is the sign of Emasotsha Regiment, he also appears in the coat of arms of Swaziland.

History

At the National Museum in Mbabane, the representation of a flag that was founded in 1894 out of the " Triumvirate Government of Swaziland, the Boers and the British " exists. Today's national flag goes back to the 1941 flag awarded the Swazi Pioneer Corps, which served on the British side in World War II.
