Flag of the Sakha Republic

The flag Sacha is the official flag of the Yakuts and the Autonomous Republic of Sakha within Russia. The flag was officially established by law by the Act on 14 October 1992.

The flag has a 1:2 ratio and consists of four horizontal stripes. These have the colors ( from top to bottom ) light blue, white, red and green. The height of the light blue stripe is 3 /4 of the flag height of white and red 1/16 and that of the green 1/8 of the flag height. Centrally located in the light blue stripe is a white circle with a diameter of 2/5 of flag height.

  • White Sun: Symbol of eternal life
  • Blue box: characteristic cold and hard Polar Air Yakutia
  • White Stripes: symbol of purity, snow, hope, wisdom and kindness
  • Red Stripe: a symbol of strength, courage, honor and aspiration
  • Green Stripe: symbol of health, joy and hope
