On a white base, a yellow bald eagle, the emblem of the United States is shown wearing on his breast the coat of arms of the United States. In the left claw of the eagle holding a laurel branch in his right claw three arrows represent the main islands. Left and right of the eagle is flanked by the letters V and I, which stand for the native name Virgin Islands.
