Flag of Tuva

The flag is the official flag of Tuva Tuvan and the autonomous republic of Tuva in Russia.

Description and importance of the Tuvan flag adopted in 1918. The flag contains the colors blue, yellow and white.

The colors indicate the following:

  • Blue stands for courage and strength of nomadic ancestors and the people of Tuvan.
  • Yellow symboliert prosperity and Buddhism.
  • White stands for purity.

The stripes represent the confluence of the rivers Bi -Chem and Kao -Chem in Kyzyl, where they form the Ulugh - Chem ( Yenisei ). Note: The current flag was officially adopted in the proportions 1:2 on 17 September 1992. Three days later she was blessed by the Dalai Lama during his state visit to Tuva.
