The Timor honeyeater ( Lichmera flavicans ) is a Southeast Asian representatives of the bird family of honeyeaters ( Meliphagidae ).

Occurrence and habitat

The species is found only on Timor, both here in the western part of the Indonesian and East Timor. It is considered not at risk. The Timor honeyeater is a state bird. It is found mainly in dry forests, but also in plantations, dry savannahs, lowland and mountain rain forests, so at Tatamailau on Monte Mundo Perdido, the Nino Konis Santana National Park and in Tasitolu.
