Flathead National Forest

The Flathead National Forest is a National Forest, which is located in the western part of the U.S. state of Montana. The forest covers an area of 9,300 km ², of which 4000 km ² are designated as wilderness. He is on the Flathead Indians who lived there, named. The forest is located in the Rocky Mountains, and rises between 1400 m and 2600 m altitude. The forest provides habitat for about 250 species of wild animals and 22 species of fish.
