Flavien Conne

Flavien Conne ( born April 1, 1980 in Puidoux ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Lugano in the Swiss National League A since 2000.

Career

Flavien Conne began his career with HC Servette Genève. In the season 1996/97 he gained his first experience in professional hockey, as the winger ran aground in 35 games in the National League B and 19 points scorer collected. In the following season, he was able to increase its hit rate and achieve 29 points in 40 games. Then, the first division HC Ambri -Piotta took him under contract in which he still made ​​his debut in the top Swiss league during the same season. Between 1998 and 2000, he went for Fribourg- Gottéron on the ice. Conne qualified with the club twice for the play-offs and subject in each case to the HC Lugano in the first round. He was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2000 by the Los Angeles Kings in the eighth round at 250th overall position, but never taken out of the Kings under contract. He then moved to HC Lugano. In his first season, he became an integral part of the team and also scored in the following years to the regular forces in the Ticinese. He belonged to the team that won the Swiss Championship in 2003 and 2006. At the European level it reached with Lugano in 2003 and 2004 to third place in the IIHF Continental Cup.

The right winger participated with the Swiss national ice hockey team in various tournaments. The best results, he finished in the World Cup 2000 and the Olympics in 2006 with the Swiss selection each sixth.
