Flavio Calzavara

Flavio Calzavara ( born February 21, 1900 in Istrana, † March 10, 1981 in Treviso ) was an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Calzavara graduated in Law and worked for many years as a theater director in South America, after he had gone in 1927 to Buenos Aires. After his return home in 1933 were made, he worked as an assistant director Alessandro Blasetti. In 1938 he made ​​his debut as a director with a first of several films in which Doris Duranti played the lead role. Between 1944 and 1948 he lived in Spain, where he made two films and turned to re- return to lightweight fabrics. Calzavara was always involved in the screenplays of his films.
