Flavio Zanonato

Flavio Zanonato ( born July 24, 1950 in Padua ) is an Italian politician of the Partito Democratico. April 28, 2013 to February 22, 2014 he was Minister of Economic Affairs in the Cabinet Letta.

Life

Zanonato was the early 1970s, member of the Communist Party of Italy. From 1975 he was a member of the city council of Padua and from 1993 to 1999 and from 2004 to 2013 mayor of the city. In addition Zanonato was from 2000 to 2004 deputy in the regional parliament of Veneto.

Zanonatos younger brother Pier Luigi university teachers is of Chemistry at the University of Padua.
