Geographical location

The municipality is located in the northwest of the district of Ravensburg in the source field of Ostrach, on the edge of the protected landscape Pfrunger Ried.

History

Fleischwangen 808 was first mentioned in connection with a take ownership of the monastery of St. Gall as Flinxwangun.
