History and construction
The FD -25 Defender was a conventional low-wing monoplane with fixed spur wheel chassis. The aircraft was an all-metal construction and the pilot sat under a wide Plexiglas hood. Three prototypes were built, however, two seater and a two seater, it was not ordered by the U.S. military. In Japan, Toyo acquired the rights to the design and built around a dozen aircraft, sold seven ( three seater as an attack aircraft and three two-seat trainer) to Cambodia, and four to Vietnam.
