Fleury (Somme)

Fleury ( Picard: Floury ) is a northern French village with 241 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Conty, in the canton Conty.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 25 km south-west of Amiens and 2.5 km west of Conty at the department road D920 (formerly Route nationale 320) in the valley of Évoissons, in the Prosecutor's here the creek flows, which forms the border to the municipality Contre.

History

The rule of Fleury was in the hands of the lords of Conty. It was divided in 1196. The castle from the 16th century was demolished in the 19th century.
