Flight of Fear

Entrance to the track in Kings Iceland

Flight of Fear is the name of two dark roller coasters in the U.S. amusement parks Kings Iceland (Kings Mills, Ohio ), and Kings Dominion ( Doswell, Virginia). Both were in 1996 as Outer Limits: Flight of Fear opened and were after the TV series The Outer Limits - theme The unknown dimension. When the licenses expired, they were renamed in 2001 in Flight of Fear and umthematisiert accordingly.

The features of the two webs to be accelerated out of the station by means of linear motors to 87 km / h. On the 825 m long track, which reaches a height of 23 m, four inversions were installed: a cobra roll, a sidewinder and a corkscrew.

The trains of the two tracks were originally equipped with shoulder-straps. For the 2001 season they were replaced with lap bar. When investing in Kings Dominion today operate three trains with five cars. In each car four people can (two rows of two people) take place. Passengers must be at least 1.37 m tall to ride allowed.
