Flight test instrumentation

The flight test instrumentation ( FTI) serves as an additional retrieval of data in flight tests of aircraft. For this purpose the aircraft or even just a single system with over and above the normal series level sensors, data loggers, telemetry devices, actuators and monitoring devices will be equipped. To distinguish additionally upgraded components from those of the actual aircraft, this will always be executed in orange. This instrumentation and their wiring can be so complex and profound that they must be integrated in the construction of the aircraft already, possibly can not be removed again and therefore a lifetime remains in the test aircraft. In aircraft that have only little space is available, are to house the test equipment partially instead of other components in military patterns such as the cannon, or the radar, removed, or there are additional external tank installed.
