The Flinders University (in short: " Flinders " ) is a named after Matthew Flinders University in the Australian city of Adelaide ( South Australia ).

Main location of the college founded in 1966 is the "Campus Bedford Park ", located about 10 km outside of Adelaide on a lake. Training centers are located in the Lincoln Marine Science Centre Port Lincoln, NT Clinical School Darwin and Alice Springs, Centre for Remote Health, Alice Springs.

At Flinders University includes over 20 independent research centers, and it offered only about 80 graduate programs.

In 2007, approximately 15,000 students were enrolled in the University, of which approximately 1,750 were foreign students from more than 70 different countries.
