Flint (automobile)

Flint was an automobile brand that was 1923-1927, produced by the Flint Motors Division in Flint (Michigan), a division of Durant Motors Company.

Production

The Flint is considered confection product because Durant Motors einbaute essential components from other manufacturers. Thus, the six-cylinder engines from Continental came, and the body parts grew at Budd in Philadelphia.

Construction

The origins of Flint can be traced back to the car manufacturer Willys. There they designed a prototype for a planned six-cylinder car, had this prototype but then sell to recoup the receipt of the company during a financial crisis money. Durant Motors bought this prototype and developed it further to Flint.

Economic Aspects

The Flint competed with the Buick also produced in Flint. After financial difficulties in Durant Motors Flint 1927 brand was discontinued.
