Flora Karimova
Flora Kerimova ( Azeri spelling Flora Ələkbər Qizi Kərimova; born July 23, 1941 in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR ) is an Azerbaijani singer and folk artist.
Biography
Flora Kerimova was born on 23 July 1941 in Baku. In 1965 she began studying as a medical doctor at the Nəriman - Nərimanov University, where she studied until 1971. After she graduated from singing lessons at a conservatory from 1972 to 1977. In mid- 1960 she began her stage career. Their special features consisted demonstrate both lyrical and rhythmic compositions. Ideally she collaborated with composer Emin Sabitobly whose songs she performed very much. Within ten years Kerimova was one of the most successful singers in the country. She took on a total of 20 solo albums and has starred in numerous films. In 1992 she became a National Artist of Azerbaijan.
