Florence Gill

Florence Gill ( born July 27, 1877 in London, † February 19, 1965 in Los Angeles, California ) was a British voice actress who became famous when she worked in the 1930s and 1940s for the Walt Disney Studios. Her most famous role is that of the hen in the cartoon The Wise Little Hen.

Life

The London native later emigrated to the United States. It was not until the age of 50 she took her first job at Disney, as a singer in the cartoon Dora's Dunking Doughnuts. Your second job ( The Wise Little Hen ) was then also her breakthrough. In another 30 cartoons ( mostly small roles) she sang until she went into retirement after Contrary Condor 1944. Florence Gill died at the age of 87 years in Los Angeles.
